The ART TPS (that's Tube Preamp System) lets you select different tube voicing presets when recording electric or acoustic guitars, keyboards, bass guitars, drums or vocals. Called V3 for Variable Valve Voicing, each voicing is said to be optimized for that particular recording task adding a definite sound personality or character you'd otherwise not get with other pre-amps. Furthermore, you can individualize each preset by adjusting the gain and final output levels. Some important techie stuff: frequency response is 5Hz to 50kHz +0/-1dB; dynamic range is greater than 100dB; maximum gain is 80dB; while maximum output level is +28dBu.
