The Flip Series are vacuum tube powered effect stomp boxes you may not want to step on very hard! But there are no worries since the unit is built in a steel chassis with an isolated socket and air vent for the tube. With a standard 12AX7WA tube inside, the VT-X has a vintage tremolo sound because it uses a classic tremolo circuit design.
This model has even more control than an old amp because there are three control knobs on the unit for Speed, Intensity (or depth) and Tone. Also a two-position switch selects between two ranges of speed from super slow undulations to fluttering, Leslie speaker-type fast spins. The Emphasis switch changes from smooth sweeps to hard, on/off stuttering. The unit also has stereo outputs for stereo tremolo effects that would require two amps.
