The LP Matador® series has a new black gloss look. LP has always offered black congas for their fiberglass line but this is a first for the Siam oak drums. The dense wood takes the black stain well and offers a good contrast to the chrome hardware. The drums are 30-inches tall and have standard 5/16 inch tuning rods The side plates are a stylish horned shaped and the Soft Strike™ rims make for extended easy playing. You'll get selected natural rawhide skins and an included tuning wrench.
The Matador bongos match the congas and the two drums measure 7 1/4 inches and 8 5/8 inches. They also feature traditional chrome rims, solid aluminum bottoms and rawhide heads. The bongos sell for $180 while the congas range from $435 for the Quinto all the way to $465 for the largest drum, the Tumbadora.
