Designed to be a direct replacement for the Stratocaster® guitar with no modification required, the new Halfbreed has more output than the Rio Grande Tallboy and a little less meat than the Muy Grande pickup. Priced at $70 retail, the Halfbreed adds another choice in pickup combinations. You could go with Tallboys for neck and middle and a Halfbreed for the bridge. Rio Grande calls it a "Big Top" set when you use a Muy Grande for the bridge and a pair of Halfbreeds for neck and middle. In any event, the Halfbreed comes in many colors including white, vintage pearl, red and brown tortoiseshell and the sparkle series in blue, gold, green, purple, red and silver.
