Gambale Guitar Yamaha has the new Frank Gambale electric guitar they call the AESFG. Guitarist Frank Gambale, best known for his work with various jazz/fusion artists, including Chick Corea's Elektric Band, has collaborated with Yamaha Guitar Development to develop this new instrument.

Some original Yamaha design features include: rear-mounted pick-ups that improve accessibility giving the instrument a clean appearance; a floating Wilkinson VS100 bridge, set with an extremely low profile; and a spring claw screwed directly into the butt-end of the rear-mounted 25.5 inch neck. The proprietary Fretwave system, where the first two frets are modified, is a simple way to temper tune the instrument for precise intonation throughout the rosewood fingerboard. This system allows the instrument to stay in tune longer, giving the user more control over other aspects of playing and performance.

Other standard components on the AESFG are: a sleek double cutaway design with a beautifully carved top, Sperzel locking tuners, Seymour Duncan pick-ups and a 12.5 degree angled, three-on-a-side headstock. The AESFG is available in a black or white finish and sells for $2,699 MSRP and will be available March 2001.
