The RBX260 was a very popular bass for Yamaha and the 270 upgrades the 260 with an extra pickup, side mounted output jack and satin finished headstock. The 270 is made from a solid piece of alder with a bolt-on, two octave maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The fully adjustable bridge and chrome tuners are extras for an instrument in this price range of $399 MSRP.
The 270 has new electronics over the 260 with separate volume controls for the two Yamaha P-style pickups. Finish choices include: Black, Mist Green (pictured), Mist Raspberry and Mist Purple.
