Corsair has the Flash Survivor™ with either a 4GB or 8GB USB 2.0 flash memory drive encased in a one-piece, milled aluminum housing. Totally water-resistant and shock proof to depths of 200 meters (650 feet) or 20 atmospheres, Flash Survivor has a durable rubber collar for additional shock and vibration.
The Flash Survivor GT 8GB at $129.99 MSRP is said to be five times faster than other drives with sustained rear/write speeds up to 34Mb/sec. It also comes pre-loaded with 256-bit AES encryption for partition password protection of you data should the device fall in the wrong hands.
The Flash Survivor 4GB at $59.99 MSRP, like the GT uses a NAND flash chip with enhanced dual channel and interleaved memory technologies. I received a 8GB Corsair and immediately put it to use copying all my precious data--Quicken files, client phone and address files, current writing articles (Word documents), legal papers, and much more. I'll take the Corsair with me when I leave home in case a disaster hits my house and computer! This drive is faster than other Jump drives I've owned.
