I had the pleasure of engineering and mixing five songs for the "I'm Ready" album. Those songs were produced by Chuck Jackson and Natalie's ex-husband, the late Marvin Yancy. Stanley Clarke produced the remainder of the record. I read in an interview that Natalie said that album was her worst. Andre Fischer, with whom I also work from time to time, told me it had nothing to do with the sound or me but with the songs.
