Peavey Grind Bass BXP The Grind Bass BXP has a sculpted neck and heel joint attached to an offset, deep-double cutaway body. Available as the Grind Bass 4 and Grind Bass 5, these four and five-string basses were designed in the US but manufactured in Korea.

Both basses feature a tilt-back headstock with straight string pull, 34-inch scale hard-rock maple neck and 24-fret pau ferro fingerboard. You also get a two-way dual expandable truss rod and a lightweight alder body available in topaz blue, tangerine, pewter gray, gloss black and burgundy finishes.

The Grind Bass 4 comes with both P-style and J-style hum-canceling passive pickups and 12-inch fretboard radius. Grind Bass 5 has two J-style hum canceling passive pickups and 15-inch fretboard radius. Both have on-board, passive or active, three-band EQ with push/push-active treble boost, master volume and blend controls. The 18-volt electronics uses two nine-volt batteries.

Finally, the Quadrajust bridge features individually adjustable saddles, a string-though design and solid-milled construction for accurate intonation and long sustain. Peavey Electronics Corporation is at 601-483-5365 Web to: www.peavey.com
