Tacoma/Ed Roman Amazon Acoustic
by Barry Rudolph

Tacoma Amazon With highly figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides, the Tacoma/Ed Roman Amazon uses slow growth red cedar that's 1,800 years old for the top and uses Gaboon ebony for the fingerboard, headpiece and bridge. Only 77 of these instruments will be made by Tacoma. You get a paua abalone (from New Zealand) rosette and Acanthus leaf fingerboard inlay with the Tacoma Guitars logo. The guitar's cutaway body is finished with gold Gotoh tuners, tortoise body binding and a 1 3/4-inch nut. The tone is said to be "tight"--great for finger picking styles.

You can order the Amazon with any type of customized wood favorites and your choice of internally mounted electronics and pickups. With a custom premium Tacoma case, the Amazon retails for $5,800 but the street price will be more like $3,300. Telephone 702-798-4995 for more information and where to see and try out this guitar.
