Part of the Genelec Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) Series, the 8430A shares the line's electro-acoustic features such as Genelec MDE™ and DCW™ technologies with a flow-optimized reflex port, very low distortion, high SPL and wide bandwidth. The 8430A Studio Monitor connects to the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM™ 2.0) control network for monitor setup and AutoCal™ configures every monitor in a multi-channel system for optimum level, timing and acoustic room response correction.

Maximum SPL is rated at 104dB and the 8430A IP SAM is powered by two Class-D amplifiers--50-watts for the 5-inch woofer and 50-watt for the 3/4-inch dome tweeter. It uses a universal mains voltage input and has input jacks for: XLR balanced analog, XLR-housed RJ45 Ethernet jack for AES67 audio-over-IP streams, and two RJ45 GLM control network connectors.
