I would like to know how i can record vocals so that they sound more deep. my band built a studio in our basement, everything sounds fine except the vocals sound like theyre too flat. i was thinking it was because we didnt add any reverb. is this correct? any info at all please.

Barry, Looking forward to talking with you concerning writing an article for the international trade directory "Session Guide." Your article is a full page and will hopefully give an insightful overview of how you approach a recording session. The book will be distributed worldwide with a concentration on NY, LA and Nashville and should be available prior to summer NAMM in July 2001.

I'm a guitarist on a quest to learn all I can about the art and science of professional audio recording, producing, engineering. My focus is on being able to release what I hear in my head (lots of space in here) and then be able to recapture the tone, ambience, color, space, time. My dream is to produce my music in THX,Surround Sound.I feel that Pink Floyd has been able to achieve this in much of their creative endeavors.Thank You for your web site and your contributions to the recording arts.
